Britney reveals a new hairstyle as she finally gets her love life on track

Britney Spears revealed a new curly hairdo as she arrived at a party ahead of the MTV Video Music Awards.

The trouble star - who appears to be finally getting her life on track - was tanned and glowing after sunning herself in Mexico with her former lover, billionaire hotelier George Maloof.

Speculation has been mounting that the singer will take to the stage at the awards in a bid to redeem herself after a disastrous performance opening last year's show.

The singer is nominated for Video of the Year, Best Female and Best Pop Video for Piece of Me and recent filmed a promotional ad for the show with presenter Russell Brand.

Last week the 26-year-old was pictured with her 44-year- old ex in Cabo San Lucas.

She got back together with Maloof, who own the Palms casino in Las Vegas, after he promised to relaunch her career.

‘I’m sure George’s billions will come in very useful now that Britney’s father is in control of her assets,’ says my source.

'Manipulative' Britney Spears

Britney Spears is "manipulative and cunning", according to her father,

Dad Jamie - who is officially the conservator of Britney's financial affairs and estate - insists 26-year-old Britney has the ability to influence him, because she plays on their close relationship.

He told America's OK! Magazine: "She sometimes calls me 50 times a day and asks me things that light my life up. But, like all daughters, she is very manipulative and cunning. So she gets what she wants a lot."

Jamie also spoke about his feelings for Britney's ex-husband Kevin Federline, who was recently awarded full custody of his two sons, Sean Preston and Jayden James, with the pop superstar.

He said: "Kevin has a wonderful heart. He wants them to raise these kids together. Kevin's heart is right."

Jamie insists his relationship with Britney has improved considerably since he became her conservator.

He added: "We've grown a lot. I've been able to come back into my daughter's life, and that was an adjustment anyway, because I'm an alcoholic and it's the first time we've really been able to share."

Britney set to star as lesbian killer in new Quentin Tarantino movie

Britney Spears is gearing up to play a killer lesbian in Quentin Tarantino’s remake of the cult classic Faster Pussycat! Kill! Kill!

The pop star was reportedly hand-picked by the Pulp Fiction director for the role of dancer Varla, originally played by Tura Satana in the 1965 film.
The movie follows three wild strippers who go on a rampage in the desert, with Spears' character killing a man with her bare hands in one bloody scene.

The troubled singer, who famously kissed Madonna at the 2003 MTV Awards, will also appear in sex scenes with another girl.

Tarantino is yet to cast the roles of the remaining two strippers.

A source said: 'Quentin is convinced Britney will be brilliant. She's delighted. She thinks it could turn her career around.
'It is perfect Tarantino material. He wanted to get Britney first. She's playing the most important character.'

Spears' is yet to earn praise for her acting on the big screen.

She starred in the 2002 film Crossroads which earned her Razzie Awards for Worst Actress and for Worst Original Song.

But her recent acting turns in the US television series How I Met Your Mother were widely praised by critics.
